Duirinish is a tiny village near Plockton in the north west highlands of Scotland. Sheep & cattle have the right to graze anywhere & often wander across the road.In this water colour, & a touch of pastel, I have tried to show the general feel of the place.

Watercolour Painting This barn is situated on the Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh road, about 5 miles from Shiel Bridge.It used to belong to Eddie Macrae, a local crofter, & after his death it gradually fell into a ruin, & shortly after I painted this.
